Description
West Limekiln at Ludchurch Quarry is a large and well-preserved semicircular limekiln, measuring about 10 meters in diameter. It features limestone masonry arranged in courses and stands at least 5 meters tall, although part of it is now submerged below water level in the flooded quarry. The kiln has two opposing openings, each with a segmental arch at the front, and wing walls on either side.
