Description

Garn Limekiln No. II is a well-preserved single limekiln constructed from neatly squared and coursed limestone masonry. It measures approximately 9 meters in width and stands about 6 meters high. The front wall is straight, with the sides returning at nearly 90 degrees. There are two working areas, each featuring a semicircular outer arch, which are separated by a tapering projecting pier of masonry that extends about 4 meters in from the front. Inside, there are semicircular inner arches over the two kiln working holes. The top of the kiln is eroded, and the interior diameter is not clearly visible.
