Description

The Central Limekiln at Kiln Park, Blaencilgoed, is a well-preserved semicircular kiln, approximately 8 meters tall. It is constructed from rubble limestone arranged in courses, featuring small offsets at intervals to create a slight batter. The face of the masonry has numerous beam or putlog holes. The kiln is positioned against high ground, with revetment wings on each side. It has opposed working apertures, each with corbelling and an arch at the front.
