Description
8 Victoria Road is a three-storey house dating from the 19th century, featuring a slate-hung exterior and a slate roof with rebuilt black brick end stacks. The ground floor includes a tripartite sash window with 4-16-4 panes on the left, a central doorway with plain pilasters and a cornice, which has 20th-century double doors and an overlight, and a large two-storey canted bay window on the right, also from the late 19th century, with plate glass sashes and an upper cornice. The upper floors have late 19th-century 4-pane sash windows on the first floor and 2-pane sash windows above.
The front area is enclosed by spearhead iron railings. The east end wall is stuccoed, featuring a slate-hung gabled porch on the right, and there is a stuccoed rear wing with two gables. There are 20th-century additions beyond.
