Description

Building Slip No. 1 is a 20th-century structure featuring a concrete base. The sides include a lower step with limestone coping and a taller main step, often referred to as an 'altar', which is granite-coped and steps down at the seaward end. There are two or three topmost granite steps that also step down at the seaward end. Additionally, there is a flight of steps inset on each side. The southern end has undergone considerable 20th-century alterations in concrete, with an extension inland.
