Description

College House is a terraced house that features painted roughcast walls and a close-eaved slate roof with a brick stack on the left end. The building stands three storeys tall and has a four-window range that is offset to the left, with the right bay spaced further apart than the others. The windows are renewed 12-pane sash windows. On the ground floor to the right, there is a broad former coach entry that has been infilled with a large three-light modern window topped with lights under a cambered head. An arched doorway is located in the third bay, featuring a renewed six-panel door and a radiating-bar fanlight set in the original timber doorcase.

The entrance is flanked by two Ionic half-columns that support entablature blocks with pulvinated friezes and an open double-curved pediment. The front garden is enclosed by a low wall made of rubble stone, with some brick and rough stone coping, which carries railings that have similar spearhead finials to those found at No 91. The railings are interrupted on the right side for modern vehicle entry but continue along the right side of the garden to the house, with square standards topped by urn finials.

Inside, there is a full-height staircase featuring square balusters, scrolled tread ends, and a continuous rail that is scrolled at the foot around an iron centre post. The interior also includes six-panel doors.
