Description
83 Hill Street is a terraced house built with painted stucco and features a slate close-eaved roof with a brick stack on the left end. The house has three storeys and a one-window range. On the upper floors, there is a two-storey canted oriel with plate glass sashes and cornices at each level. The cornice on the first floor continues as a moulded band between the first and second floors. On the ground floor, there is a sash window with narrow marginal panes to the left of centre, and to the right, an arched doorway with a recessed four-panel door and a radiating-bar fanlight. The facade is enhanced by superimposed pilasters on each side: the top moulding of the ground floor capital extends across to the base of the oriel from each side, while the full capital moulding wraps around the first floor above the oriel, and the top pilasters have a thin capital under the gutter. The interior has not been inspected.
