Description
77 Hill Street is a terraced house built with painted stucco and features a slate close-eaved roof with a stack at the left end. The house has three storeys and a two-window range that is offset to the left. The top floor includes two large late 19th-century plate glass sash windows, while the first floor features a large late 19th-century square oriel window positioned left of centre. This oriel has a modillion cornice and three large front lights with top lights, along with single lights with top lights on the sides. On the ground floor, there is a door to the right and a 20th-century cross-window to the left, neither of which align with the openings above. The door is topped by a stucco vermiculated keystone and leads to a recessed 20th-century six-panel door with an overlight.
The interior has not been inspected, but a 1988 account describes a Victorian staircase with turned newels and acorn finials, as well as turned balusters.
