Description
Ffynnon Clun is a farmhouse with an adjoining outbuilding, built from stone rubble and finished with colourwashed render. It features an imitation slate roof and brick end stacks. The building is one-and-a-half storeys high and has a two-window range, with a 20th-century window on either side of a central doorway that is framed by a substantial 20th-century porch topped with a gabled roof of imitation slate.
To the right of the farmhouse, there is a range of three stone rubble outbuildings, each with progressively lower eaves and ridges. The first two outbuildings have grouted cement roofs, while the third, which is much lower, has a corrugated iron roof. The first outbuilding has two doorways: one on the far left and another in the center, both featuring wood lintels and some red brick in the jambs. The second outbuilding also contains two full-height doorways, with a single door to the left and a double door to the right, along with a ventilation slit between them. The third building has a low-pitched roof and paired ledged stable doors in its end wall.
In a listing from 1978, the farmhouse was noted to have a cement grouted roof, rendered stacks, and a sash window without glazing bars to the left of the doorway. At that time, the outbuildings were whitewashed, a feature that has since been removed. The farmhouse includes a Croglofft at the left end and a large chimney breast in the right-hand room, which is open to the ceiling.
