The Lifeboat Memorial consists of four slate plaques with gilded incised lettering, mounted on a retaining wall that is approximately 30 meters long, featuring a slate sill below. The first plaque lists the lives saved by the Fishguard No 1 lifeboats from 1856 to 1892. The second, which is longer, details the lives saved by the No 2 lifeboat from 1885 to 1915. The third plaque records lives saved from 1917 to 1956, while the fourth plaque commemorates lives saved from 1957 to 1961.
