Description

12 Market Square is an early 19th century Georgian building that stands two stories tall with an asymmetric front featuring three windows. The façade is made of colourwashed plaster on rubble, with inscribed coursing. It has a gently pitched slate roof with plain eaves and later stock brick chimney stacks.

The first floor windows are 12-pane sashes with plain reveals, and the ground floor has a central round-arched doorway flanked by similar windows. The doorway is recessed and features a semicircular segmental fanlight above a modern door.

Inside, there is an early 19th century dog-leg staircase, which includes a later 19th century stair window.
