Description

This is an early to mid-19th century range of outbuildings located at Cerbyd Old Farmhouse. The buildings are constructed of rubble stone with renewed roofs covered in grout. A single-storey building, now a garage, is situated at the western end of the north side and is almost detached. It features a 20th-century red brick entry arch with a flattened arch on the west side, and a small window, door, window, and a boarded opening on the south side of what was formerly a doorway. The main range is set back and originally comprised a two-storey stable and granary, which were converted to domestic use in the 20th century and include a brick western stack. Exterior stone stairs lead up to a loft door, and there are two 20th-century windows with eight panes each. The ground floor has a similar 20th-century window and a broad entry with a red brick flattened arch, a keystone, and 20th-century boarded doors. To the east of the main range is a building with a roof of imitation slates, featuring a single six-pane window with a cambered head, a cambered-head door, and a casement. A short section adjoins this, returning along the eastern side of the yard. A small window faces south. The long range was formerly used as cowhouses or stables, with cambered red brick heads over the openings. There is a door, window, and door on the left side, and a door and window on the right. The right end of the range, returning along the eastern side, has been rebuilt as a 20th-century bungalow.
