Description
Tremaenhir is a substantial farmhouse built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a slate roof with stone stacks. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a three-window front, which includes 12-pane sash windows that have painted, cambered brick heads and slate sills. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with an overlight, also topped by a painted brick head. The farmhouse has granite cornerstones and a lean-to on the north end.
At the south end, there is a lower two-storey range with a large brick end stack and a one-window range of 12-pane sashes, similarly featuring cambered, painted brick heads and keystones. To the right, there is a glazed door set within a large, rubble-stone, gabled porch. The rear of the main house has an outshut that is rendered and includes 20th-century windows. On the roof slope, there is a stack at the north end, and the centre stair gable has slate-hung sides, a very long 24-pane stair-light, and a gable stack.
