Abernant including Front Garden Railings and Gate

Abernant is a mid to later 19th century farmhouse constructed from coursed rubble stone, featuring an imitation slate close-eaved roof and stone end stacks. The building has a two-storey front with three windows, each fitted with large 12-pane sashes that have stone voussoirs and keystones above cambered heads, along with slate sills. The glazing bars are arranged to create narrower marginal panes. The central door includes an overlight and similar stone voussoirs, while there is a 20th century glazed timber porch.

At the rear, there is a large northeast range that has three similar sashes on the upper floor, with one sash on the ground floor to the left, a 20th century addition in the center, and two 4-pane sashes to the right. There is a stone stack at the east end.

The front garden features iron railings atop a dwarf coped wall, with spearhead rails and dog bars, two central stone piers, and a pedestrian gate. The stone end piers and a rubble stone wall on the north side extend back to the house.
