Description
Briwnant Cottage and the attached cottage form a pair of cottages that have been combined into one house, with an additional cottage added to the right. The structure is built of rubble stone and features a slate roof, with stone stacks located at the left end and on the ridge between the original part and the later addition. Originally, the building was two storeys high, with three windows on each floor and two slightly narrower doors alternating with the windows on the ground floor. In the 20th century, the centre window was converted into a door, while the doors on either side were changed into windows. The left end of the building is rendered. The windows above consist of nine panes, while those below have twelve panes, with a single opening pane in each. Ground floor openings are framed with stone voussoirs, and the door openings are narrower.
The added cottage on the right end features a 4-pane horned sash window above a door in a narrowed opening, with a 4-pane sash window to the right of the door. The end gable has overhanging verges, and there is a stone stack at the right end. The rear of the building includes an outshut. The property is not available for inspection.
