Description

Two cottages, later combined into a single house, were built in the 18th century. They are constructed from local rubble stone with dressings of Ham stone, and have a Welsh slate roof supported by a stone base course. The west gable is stepped, while the east gable features an elaborate spire finial. Brick chimney stacks are present at the end and between the two gables. The house has two storeys and six bays. The lower bays (3 and 4) have mullioned windows with plain architraved and beaded surrounds, containing three lights below and four lights above. A blocked doorway, now containing a casement window, is situated between these bays. The remaining bays have 20th-century casement windows with exposed timber lintels. The east gable has a painted arched window of two lights with 15th-century style tracery; this window is possibly from Naish Priory, East Coker. The main entrance is now at the rear. The interior of the property has not been inspected.
