Description

This is a cottage, dated 1805, but with origins in the 17th century. It is constructed of local stone rubble with Ham stone dressings, and has an undulating plain clay tile roof between stepped coped gables. The chimney stacks are a mix of brick, stone, and rendered material. The cottage is two storeys high and has four bays. Most windows are 3-light timber casement windows with horizontal glazing bars, some with exposed timber lintels. The lower window in the second bay has a beaded and architraved surround to a 3-light mullioned window. A boarded door is situated between the second and third bays. A datestone indicating 1805 is set into the west gable. The interior was not inspected.
