Description
West Coker Methodist Church is a church dated 1839, constructed from cut and squared ham stone with ashlar dressings and a Welsh slate roof. The building features a single-storey design with a three-bay gabled front. It has large cusped lancet windows with plain chamfer mouldings and coloured leaded diamond panes. The central window is shorter and is positioned above a painted arch doorway that has double doors with boarded panels. Above the doors is a stone tympanum with a quatrefoil fanlight. There are two matching windows on each side of the church. A plaque in the front gable indicates it was established as a Wesleyan Chapel in 1839. The interior was not accessible as of August 1983.
