Description
Great Glen Methodist Church is a church dated 1827, built with colourwashed brick and featuring a hipped roof made of Welsh slate. It has one high storey and is designed with two 8/8 sash windows located above and on either side of a central round-arched doorway, which has narrow imposts. The doorway itself consists of a two-leaved, four-panelled door topped with a fanlight. In front of the fanlight, there is a 19th-century metal lamp. To the left, there is a small flat-roofed extension with additional 8/8 sash windows, and there are also 8/8 sash windows on the right end of the building. Inside, the church features a gallery supported by two slim cast iron columns, a plain plastered ceiling, and at the eastern end, there are three blind rounded arches with imposts, with the central arch being larger. Between the windows, there is a stone tablet inscribed with 'Wesleyan Chapel 1827'.
