Description
The Methodist Church, originally known as the Wesleyan Chapel, was built in 1829 and restored in 1888. It is a two-storey building with three windows, constructed from gault brick. The left-hand bay is slightly set back and made of narrow bricks. The roof is hipped and covered with slates. The church features sash windows with flat arches made of painted gauged brick and small-pane sashes. There is a pair of two-panelled entrance doors that are recessed between panelled reveals and a moulded architrave. An open Doric portico with a flat roof, moulded and modillioned cornice, is supported at the front by two columns.
