Description
Swan Cottage is a pair of two-storey double-fronted cottages built from rubble stone, featuring a slate roof and stone stacks at the center and each end, all heightened in rendered brick. The left-hand cottage has openings with stone segmental heads on the lower storey. It includes a central replaced boarded door within an added open porch, flanked by small-paned windows below and late 19th-century large-paned sash windows under the eaves on the upper storey. The right-hand cottage is likely older, with openings under wooden lintels in the lower storey and a replacement glazed door. It also has late 19th-century large-paned sash windows in both storeys.
Attached to the left gable end is a single-storey wing with whitewashed walls and a slate roof, featuring a central stone stack. This wing consists of two former single-fronted cottages, each with doorways (which have been replaced) and windows on their right side, all positioned under the eaves and renewed in earlier openings. Further left, set back from the left end, is an added gabled shed.
At the rear of the right-hand cottage, there are two upper storey windows below the eaves, replaced in earlier openings. Both cottages have inserted windows on the lower left. The single-storey wing has two doorways with windows on their right side, all renewed in earlier openings. The property has not been inspected.
