Description
Swn y nant is a pair of two-storey cottages built from rubble stone, featuring a slate gabled roof. The roof has a single central chimney stack made of rubble stone, topped with a slate capstone and dripstones. The eaves are close. The front elevation is lined and rendered, with first-floor windows consisting of 12 panes, of which the top four open. The ground floor has 16-pane hornless sash windows. The doors in the outer bays have plain rectangular overlights and are made of tongue and groove. The ground floor openings have slightly cambered heads.
The left end of the building is windowless and includes a low stone lean-to with a corrugated roof and a door opening to the front. A similar lean-to is located at the right end, flush with the front of the cottage and covered with tarpaulin. The rear of the cottages is constructed from rubble stone and features two blocked ground floor windows, one on the left and one on the right of the centre.
