Description
Wesley Cottage is a detached house that stands two storeys high and features three bays. The roof is slate with a gabled design, complemented by rubble stone chimneys on both the left and right sides, and has deep bracketed eaves. The facade is made of coursed rubble stone, adorned with orange brick voussoirs above the windows. Most windows are four-pane horned sashes, except for a narrower two-pane window in the center, which is positioned above a narrow center door. This door is recessed and consists of four panels, with panelled reveals and a plain rectangular overlight, all framed in a painted timber doorcase that includes pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. To the right, there is a single-storey rubble stone lean-to. The left end of the house features two aligned four-pane horned sash windows towards the rear.
In front of the cottage, there is a raised garden enclosed by a stone retaining wall topped with wrought iron railings that have arrow-headed finials and urn finials on the stanchions. A similar gate is located at road level, with five slate steps leading up to the garden level.
