Description

1-3 Wesley Row is a row of two-storey cottages, each with one window. The cottages on the left and in the center are a mirrored pair with doors facing each other, while the right-hand cottage has its doorway at the right end. The front features a chequered pattern of red and yellow brickwork, with a bullnose brick eaves cornice and an earlier stone plinth topped with bullnose brick coping. The roof is slate with boarded eaves, and there are red brick chimney stacks with yellow brick quoins at the left end and to the right of the center.

The lower storey has 12-pane horned sash windows with gauged chequered brick heads and slate sills. The upper storey features 3-over-6-pane horned sashes with slate sills positioned just below the eaves. The doors are part-glazed wooden and date from the mid-20th century. The south gable end is roughcast, while the rear of the building is not visible.

Adjacent to the right is a single-storey Wesleyan chapel, which is rendered and lined under a slate roof, with slate hanging on the south gable. The chapel has a long-wall façade, featuring a panelled door on the right and two 12-pane horned sash windows with wedge lintels and stone sills on the left. Between the windows, there is a wooden tablet that reads 'Methodist Church, Llangurig, 1814'.

No. 1 is located at the southern end of the group. The interior was not seen during the resurvey.
