Description

The Memorial to Chevalier Lloyd is an obelisk made of polished pink granite, featuring a scalloped pyramidal top. It stands on a slightly splayed base with a moulded cornice, which has an inlaid inscription on the west side that reads: 'Erected by his tenants and friends ... for his unbounded liberality, extraordinary charitableness and his restoration of the church at a cost of £11,000. A friend to the poor ... and benefactor to all.' The east side displays the same inscription in Welsh. The base is supported by a stepped four-tier plinth, with the upper two tiers made of granite and topped with a moulded finish. The third tier is constructed of stone, while the lowest tier is made of concrete.
