Description

The Royal Charter Memorial is a 19th-century obelisk constructed from pink and grey granite. It stands on a bevelled stepped base and a chamfered plinth. Inscriptions are present on three of the four visible sides. A moulded cornice tops the shaped base of the obelisk. The memorial is of group value, contributing to the character of the surrounding area.
