Description

2 Wesley Row is a pair of two-storey cottages, each featuring one window. The cottages on the left and center are mirrored, with their doors facing inward, while the right-hand cottage has its doorway at the right end. The front of the cottages is made of chequered red and yellow brickwork, topped with a bullnose brick eaves cornice. There is an earlier stone plinth with bullnose brick coping. The slate roof has boarded eaves, and there are red brick stacks with yellow brick quoins at the left end and right of center.

The lower storey has 12-pane horned sash windows with gauged chequered brick heads and slate sills, while the upper storey features 3-over-6-pane horned sashes with slate sills just below the eaves. The doors, which are part-glazed wooden, date from the mid-20th century. The south gable end is roughcast, and the rear of the building is not visible.

Adjoining to the right is a single-storey Wesleyan chapel, which is rendered and lined under a slate roof, with slate hanging on the south gable. The chapel has a long-wall façade, featuring a panelled door on the right and two 12-pane horned sash windows with wedge lintels and stone sills on the left. Between the windows is a wooden tablet that reads 'Methodist Church, Llangurig, 1814'.

No. 2 is the central cottage of the three. The interior was not seen during the resurvey.
