Description
This is a late 18th-century cottage, originally known as Wesley Cottage, located on Ilchester Road, Limington. The building is constructed from local stone, squared and combed in courses, with triple roll clay tiles to the roof and brick end chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and originally had four bays. The front entrance is a six-panel door, partly glazed, set within a heavy, mid-20th-century stone porch with a flat roof, situated between the second and third bays. A small casement window is present on the ground floor of the third bay; other ground floor windows are 18-pane horizontal sliding sashes, each with a voussoired flat arch below and an exposed concrete lintol above. The west side of the cottage has been rebuilt in brick and features a rear extension. The cottage is prominently situated at the end of Church Street, creating a picturesque appearance.
