Description

The entrance gate piers and west boundary wall to Limington House were likely built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from local stone that is cut, squared, and coursed, with piers made of Ham stone. The wall stands approximately 1.6 metres high, including thin copings, and sweeps into the gate piers. The piers are square in shape, rise to 2 metres, and feature incised decoration along with heavy tops that have ball finials. This structure is a prominent feature at the main corner of the village and enhances the setting of the nearby Church of St Mary.
