Description
The Nook and The Cottage are a pair of two-storey cottages built in rubble masonry, featuring thatched roofs with eyebrow dormers. The cottages have whitewashed rendering and low end-chimneys, along with a low mid-chimney, each topped with a single pot. The windows consist of small four-pane wooden casements above and larger ones below, and both cottages have open gabled porches supported by struts.
The left cottage, known as The Cottage, is single-fronted, with one centrally located window above and a door and window below. There is a modern extension on the left side. The right cottage, called The Nook, is double fronted and symmetrical. A slate plaque commemorates John Wesley's visits, located to the right of the porch. The right cottage also has a modern extension at the rear. The left cottage features a brick forecourt, while the right cottage has a forecourt enclosed by a whitewashed rubble stone wall with a steel gate.
