Description

The limekiln in Oxwich Wood is a very small structure built from axe-dressed local conglomerate rubble masonry and is in fairly complete condition. It features one working opening, with roughly corbelled sides and rear. The kiln stands approximately 3 meters tall, topped with a semi-drum that is slightly recessed from the face and has brick coping.

Inside, the kiln has a diameter of about 2.5 meters, which reduces to around 1.5 meters near the base. The interior is lined with vitrified firebrick.
