Description

The limekiln is a semi-circular structure, approximately 6.5 meters in diameter and about 3.5 meters tall. It is constructed from local rubble stone and features neatly formed corbelled openings on the north and south sides. Retaining walls extend from the kiln in a wing shape along the bank face. There are signs of a former shed over the south working hole, and it is likely that there was also a shed over the north hole, where a modern shed currently stands. Inside, the kiln has a diameter of about 2.8 meters and shows traces of a fireclay lining.
