Description
The Limekiln is a well-preserved small limekiln, measuring about 5.5 meters in diameter externally and approximately 3.5 meters high. It is located beside the road on the west side. A ramp leads up from the roadside at the north, and the bank behind the ramp is revetted. The kiln features opposed openings at the north and south, each with neatly corbelled archways. The north archway is capped with a short lintel, while the south archway lacks its lintel but is otherwise complete. There are neatly formed curved retaining wing walls at both the north and south sides. The interior diameter of the kiln is about 3 meters, and there does not appear to be any firebrick lining.
