Description

St Caradoc Churchyard Gateway is an arched gateway featuring twin pyramids made of brickwork. It has pilasters on either side of the archway, and the arch coping is also constructed of brickwork, while the rest of the structure is made of stone. The gateway remains largely unchanged from de Cort's drawing, which suggests that the finials were originally more sharply pointed, although this may be an artistic interpretation. The small timber gates currently in place are modern replacements for the original gates that filled the entire opening.
