Description
Lower House Farmhouse is a two-storey building with a large two-storey rear wing. The main part of the house faces west towards private lawns, while the rear wing has a symmetrical elevation facing south towards a private access road that separates the house from the farm buildings. The main section features a range of three windows, with roughcast on the front and side elevations. It has a gabled, slated roof with limestone end-chimneys topped with similar patent terracotta pots. Throughout the house, there are 16-pane hornless sash windows with rendered surrounds. The front door is six panels with a transom and fanlight, set in rendered reveals.
The south-facing front of the rear wing has a similar appearance, but the upper windows consist of twelve panes, while the lower windows have four-pane upper sashes and eight-pane lower sashes. The door in this section is modern and includes a simple porch. There is also a lean-to extension and a greenhouse on the east side.
