Description
Creswell House is a substantial mid-Georgian house that has two storeys and an attic, featuring five windows that face north towards the river. The exterior is now rendered, and there are lower extensions at each end. The main range has brick topped end stacks and slate roofs, with the attic lit at the main gable ends. The original window openings are preserved at the first floor level, now fitted with 19th-century sash windows. On the ground floor, there are late 19th-century splayed bays under lean-to slate roofs flanking the central door. The lower range on the left is two storeys high, featuring an end stack and a two-light window beside a second doorway. The lower range on the right is a single storey with one window and a door at the gabled end. At the rear, set into the hillside, is a large cross range that has a boarded door accessed by steps. Additionally, there is a two-storey, three-window cottage that adjoins the rear range.
