Description

Priory Cottage is a pair of cottages, now combined into a single dwelling, dating to the late 17th century with alterations made in the mid-19th century. The exterior is painted English bond brick with a Welsh slate roof and brick stacks. The two-storey building has a four-window front. It features two planked doors, the one on the right having a gabled canopy and a three-light casement window on either side, along with a two-light and a three-light casement window to the left. The first floor has four two-light casement windows. The rear elevation has a mix of single-light and two-light casement windows. The right return was rebuilt in brick during the mid-19th century. Internally, the cottage retains chamfered beams, planked doors with strap hinges, some wooden latches, and an open fireplace with a chamfered lintel on brick jambs. The staircase is enclosed with plank and muntin panelling.
