Description
Emms Farm is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a detached house. It features square-panelled timber framing with painted brick nogging and a rubble stone wall on the west side. The roof is thatched, with brick and rendered stacks. The building consists of two bays, with an additional bay and wing added to the east. It is a single-storey structure with an attic and has two windows. There is a 20th-century door located in a gabled porch to the left of the center, with a leaded casement and a two-light casement window to the left, and a leaded light along with a 20th-century bow window to the right. The house has two half-dormers, each with two-light casements. The left side of the building features an external brick stack and casement windows. At the rear, there is a single-storey wing to the right with casement windows. The interior was not accessible during the survey in May 1986, but it is reported to retain an open fireplace at the west end with a chamfered lintel and chamfered beams.
