Description
The outbuilding to the north of Trecefel farmhouse is constructed of rubble stone with a slate roof. The stone is squared on the main part, while the right and left ends are rough. This long lofted range features two depressed-arched cart entries with stone voussoirs, raised impost blocks, and keystones. Above these entries, there is a double row of seven recessed dove-holes with shelves, along with two small boarded loft lights located under the eaves. To the left, a plaque reads 'Erected 1836 J. Lloyd'. On the right side, there is a stable that includes a door, a window, and one loft light above. The ground floor features stone voussoirs, and the masonry changes to indicate that the right end is an earlier range that was partly built over in 1836. This section has one door and one window below, with red brick heads, and one loft light above and between them. There is also a loft door on the end wall with a brick head.
The added part at the left end has a continuous roof with an overhang, as this range is narrower. The roof oversails the stairs leading to the loft of the main range. The added section includes a ground floor door to the right and a loft window to the left, both with single-stone lintels. The end wall features sills from two blocked windows.
Inside the right end of the main range, the loft floor has been removed, revealing a 5-bay roof supported by two older oak trusses, bolted collars, and three pine trusses.
