Description
Trefelin is a two-storey building constructed from whitewashed rubble stone, topped with a slate roof and featuring stone end stacks. The front elevation is asymmetric and has four windows, with the east side displaying horizontally-sliding small-paned casement windows in three bays, and a door located in the second bay from the left. The ground floor openings are topped with stone slab lintels, and there is a four-panel 19th-century door. Notably, the left window on the ground floor was originally a door. The south end wall includes a small ground floor window next to a fireplace, while the north end wall is built into a bank. The rear of the building features a small casement window under the eaves, along with a ground floor window and door.
Inside, there is a large fireplace at the south end with a timber lintel. The ceiling showcases exposed beams and joists, with one beam featuring a stop-chamfered spine beam with run-out stops. The entrance passage has 19th-century panelled partitions and six-panel doors. Additionally, there is a later 19th-century fireplace at the north end and a staircase with stick balusters from the same period.
