Description
Clifton and Manteg are a pair of two-storey Georgian style houses, built from colour-washed and whitewashed rubble stone with a slate roof and three stone chimney stacks. Clifton features a three-window range with a ridge stack located between the second and third bays, and has a colour-washed front with painted stucco strips on either side. Manteg has a two-window range, is whitewashed, and includes a lean-to addition on the right end. Both houses have hornless 12-pane sash windows. The entrance to Clifton is a central three-panel door with an overlight, while Manteg has its door in the left bay, also with a three-pane overlight. The positioning of the chimney stack suggests that Clifton may have originally been two separate houses, and both homes have undergone some alterations.
