Description
Llain is a mid-19th century small farmhouse constructed from colourwashed rubble stone and topped with a slate roof, featuring stone stacks at each end. The building is two stories high and has a three-window range that is offset to the right. The lower sashes are 4-pane sash windows with brick cambered heads, while timber lintels are positioned above them. The end walls are whitewashed. To the right of the farmhouse, there is a single-storey outbuilding that includes a 20th-century brick lean-to and one window on the right side.
Llain farmhouse is part of a notably complete group, representing a good regional example of smaller farm units, which include a small cow-house and stable/cart-shed arranged irregularly around a narrow yard.
