Description

Bwthyn-hedd is a two-storey cottage dating from the 18th century, constructed from local, randomly laid slate masonry. The roof is also slate, laid in small courses with a tile ridge. A brick chimney projects from the right end of the building, with the slate roof extending over the shoulders of the stack. A small mullion-and-transom window is located on the right side of the cottage, the upper window set beneath the eaves, and the lower window featuring a painted segmental brick arch. The upper window includes an iron casement. A timber-framed gabled porch with lattice sides provides shelter for the entrance door on the left side of the cottage. A lean-to addition is present on the right side, and the building has been extended to the rear. The interior of the cottage has not been inspected.
