Description
Castle Cottage is a single-storey cottage built with a timber frame, featuring a brick plinth and panel infill. It has a slate roof with a brick axial stack. The cottage has a three-unit plan, with the chimney positioned away from the entrance between the two upper units. There is a contemporary rear outshut that includes an additional brick stack. The box framing consists of regular square panels that are two panels high. The cottage has a plank door and two-light small-paned iron casement windows located just below the eaves. Additionally, there is a small original lean-to, also timber framed, attached to the lower gable, which is slate hung above it. The property was not accessible at the time of inspection in February 1997.
