Description
Oak Tree Cottage is a small cottage constructed of corrugated iron, likely over a light frame, and topped with a corrugated iron roof. It features a two-unit plan, is one storey high with an attic, and has a brown brick chimney stack on the west side. The east gable is adorned with a finial. The front entrance is centrally located and consists of a planked door beneath a curved corrugated iron canopy. This door is flanked by two 2-light casements, each with four panes, and all three openings have semi-circular fanlights, creating a cohesive appearance. Just below the eaves, there are two short 3-light casements that likely illuminate the attic space. At the rear, there are two additional 2-light casements, one with four panes and the other with two panes. The east end has no openings, and there is a small shed projecting from the front on the west end. Access was not available at the time of inspection.
