Description
Twynings House is a cottage that likely dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and features regular brick infill panels, topped with a slate roof. The building has a local type external stack with an oven and a detached brick chimney on the right side. It is one storey high with an attic and consists of two bays. The front facing the road has only one window, which is an attic dormer that probably dates from the early 20th century. This dormer is located in a timber framed gable and contains a pair of cross casement windows. The framing of the cottage is very thin and wavy, with a narrow tension brace extending from the cill of the road front to the right-hand corner posts and gable queen struts. The entrance is located on the garden front.
