Description
Trundle Inn is a former cottage that has been converted into a public house. It likely dates from the 17th century and was extended in the early 19th century. The building features a timber-frame structure with render, and it has both tiled and slate roofs. There are two parts to the building: the right part has one storey and an attic, consisting of two bays. It includes two 2-light 19th-century casement windows, one on either side of the entrance, and two gabled 2-light dormers. The entrance is located under a gabled early 20th-century gablet porch, accessed through a 12-panelled door. The framing of this section is irregular but consists of evenly sized scantlings, with panels that vary significantly in size, ranging from two to four from the cill to the wall-plate level. At the rear, there is an attached outbuilding where part of a cruck blade is visible. The left part of the building is from the early 19th century, has two storeys, and features three bays with thin applied boards that suggest timber-framing.
