Description
25 Commercial Street is a three-storey, two-window house built with roughcast Flemish bond brick. The west end is angled to fit the site, and it features a gently pitched slate roof with deep boxed eaves. The brick end stacks are rendered, with one stack projecting on the left and a later addition on the right.
On the second floor, there are shallow eight-pane sash windows, while the centre has six-pane sashes. The first floor includes sixteen-pane sashes flanking a twelve-pane sash, with a sill band. The ground floor also has sixteen-pane sashes with plain reveals and stone sills.
The entrance features a pedimented hood supported by brackets above the doorcase, which includes a three-light fanlight and a six-panel door with fielded panels. Stone steps lead up to the entrance.
