Description
This is a three-storey and cellar, Flemish bond brick terrace forming part of a group at 15-19 Llanfair Road, Newtown. Numbers 15 and 16 were originally built back to back. The building has a gently pitched slate roof with a saw-toothed eaves cornice and deep rectangular brick stacks, though the stack has been removed from number 15. The windows are original, featuring shallow upper sashes with 12 panes on the second floor and 16 panes on the first and ground floors. The windows have gauged brick voussoirs, plain reveals, and stone sills. Modern windows have been inserted into the gable end of number 15. The original doorcases have leaded dripboards supported by brackets, and the original six-panel doors remain at numbers 15, 16, and 17, with the centre panel of number 17 being glazed. A series of slates are nailed over the dripboard of number 17. The rear elevations have been extensively modernised at numbers 15 and 16, whilst tall, small staircase windows survive at numbers 17 and 19, being partly blocked at number 18. The rear elevation of number 19 is well preserved, featuring gauged brick voussoirs.
