Description

This is a pair of three-story townhouses, built as a reflected pair at 11 and 12 Llanfair Road, Newtown. The buildings date from the 19th century and are constructed of Flemish bond brickwork. They have gently pitched slate roofs with a saw-toothed eaves cornice. Brick chimney stacks are located at each end, with those on number 12 being taller than those on number 11. The windows have 16 panes on the ground floor and 12 panes on the first and second floors, all with shallow upper sashes. The windows have gauged brick voussoirs, plain reveals, and stone sills. The doorways are round-headed, with brick arches and blind fanlights above, and feature later 19th-century panelled doors.
